China's Energy Consumption Must be Bridled

China’s recent need for energy resources has accelerated at an alarming rate. ++ US envoy to the Paris-based International Energy Association (IEA), Daniel S. Sullivan, maintains that China and India must join international organizations in order to control usage and ensure energy security. ++ As oil prices skyrocket, developing nations, desperately in need of energy resources, are less likely to consider environmental impacts of uncontrolled consumption. ++ In the long term, coordinated policy will assist in avoiding massive conflicts of interest.
