Palestinians Should Challenge Hamas, not Israel

Ron Prosor, Israeli ambassador in London | August 28, 2008

It is the Hamas's illegitimate rule that prevents progress between Israel and the Palestinians, not Israel itself. ++ However, Palestinian protesters stick to the anti-Israel dogma and do not question the extremists’ destructiveness even though they need to ask Israel more and more often for help. ++ Therefore, "it is time to realize that bashing Israel will not build Palestine." ++ Furthermore, the international community should encourage Palestinians to establish infrastructure and governing institutions in order to contain the Iranian influence.

Very good article. Israel has indeed reacted in a strategically superb fashion. I would have added that - in my opinion - there are lots of anti-Israel activists who are so simply by way of irony: They recognize that Arabist and Islamist organizations and governments cannot be talked to and counted on when it comes to humanitarian and peace issues, so they aim at the side that does.

The world has forgotten Palestine, its absolutly clear. Its has also fogrotten that Israel had been established through occupation of Arab and Islamic soil. And everyone knows-but seems to forget- that extreamist and terroristic zionist and jewish groups like the Hagana, with the help of Europe killed the palestinians and forced them to become refugees.

Now I ask, why do you think that any Arab or Muslim should talk to Israel, that has never stopped building colonies in the West-Bank and is forcing many palestinians to die of hunger through a brutal sieg? Please, lets distinguish between the agressor and the real vicitms!

If we did the same, lets say got a forigen people and claimed they came from Wales, that they lived 2000 years ago there, then occupied Wales and made a State and expeled most wlesh people form their homes and branded every resistance as act of trerrorism with international help. Well, would you think that is just?

Before you make your claims and opinion about Arab people please think of this for a while and ask yourself am I still human or am I claiming to be human and a solid believer in democracy and human rights?

The world has forgotten Palestine?

Palestine never existed in the worlds awareness and it has about the importance and priority of an ants headache to the world. (same as Wales)
There is and was in the younger history a geographical area named "palestine" or cisjordan which includes the Gazastrip, Westbank, Jordan, Israel and parts of Syria and Lebanon.
Until WW1 this area belonged for about 450 years to the turkish ottoman emipre and became after the allied victory british mandatory area, called palestine.

In fact a british Mister Edmund Henry Hynman Allenby called also "Bloody Bull" conquered the turkish ottoman owned palestinian area starting with the victorious assault on Beersheba, carried out by the famous Anzac (Australian light horse mounted infantry).
He went all way trough to Damascus.

For your correctness i would declare the so called palestinians are either former ottomans or turks or former british mandatory citizens.
That would mean that Israel "annected" former turkish soil, right?
As also to your knowledge the UN only devided the area into cisjordan, an arabic area and an jewish area.
The jews proclaimed the state of Israel within their area, which was approved by the UN.
In the arabic sector the guys just missed the opportunity to declare a state called whatever name.
Instead the decided to play Roulette "all or nothing", well, indeed they did get nothing at all in the end.

So whom you want to blame Mr. Anonymous?
The Ottomans cause of their defeat, Allenby cause of his victory, the Australians for sending their famous Anzacs, England cause of giving up their mandatory territory, the UN for dividing the former palestine area, the jews for declaring a state, the arabs for not declaring a state, the israelis for coming out victorious after being assaulted by united arab nations??

Mr. Anonymous..
you talk about; We, whom you mean with We? Arabs, Palestinians, Hamas, Hisbollah or the walsh people?
The other name of England is Great Britan or United Kingdom and the "state" Wales is part of the United Kingdom.
The Hanganah was not a terrosist groupe but the regular army of Israel!
Europe did not help the Haganah and did not sell them arms!
(out of some old rubbish from Tchechoslovakia)
No one told the arab population to flee out of the arab leaders!
The Haganah killed not the Palestinians, as they are still around and cousing problems!
(in Jordan are about 75% of the citizens "palestinians")
There are no colonies, beside a few settlements, in the Westbank as it is a autonomic arabic area!
NO one asks any arab or muslim to talk with Israel, if they want peace they can get it, if they want war they can get it also.
The palestinians would not die of hunger if they would keep themselfs busy with work and agriculture on place of terroristic acts!

and Mr. Anonymous...
please send your talkabouts to the palestinian daily press or to Mr. Imail Hanieh or Nasrallah personaly, here is not a place for people whom went through elementary shool on a missile.

Mr Jospeh is excellent at manipulating the truth.

It is very simple. People who inhabitted the land originally were displaced out of their homes by people coming from abroad. It does not matter if it is called Palestine or something else. Comparing Arabs to Jews is not correct, Jewish people belong to a religion and they can be Arabs. As a matter of fact Palestine has a sizeable jewish population. On the other hand Arabs share a common language.

Mr. Jospeh, It is not a matter for the Arab not taking the opportunity to declare a state in 1948. It is a matter of an oppression that needs to end.

Good luck to the Palestinians in thier cause to defeat the Zionists
