Immigration Literature Recommendations

I'm currently in the process of writing a piece that will compare the realities of immigration in the US and in Germany. I am particularly interested in finding articles that go beyond criticizing Europe and praising the US and that propose solutions for the future. If anyone knows of any particularly relevant literature on this topic and could point me in the correct direction, I would appreciate it!
