Contradictory China
Frank Gerstenberg, The Scotsman | May 9, 2008
Modern China is full of inner contradictions. ++ The ubiquity of internet access coexists with the impossibility to open critical websites, and the obvious ecological pollution exists side by side with the extreme cleanliness of the streets. ++ The numerous members of the Communist Party are coevally religious Buddhists or successful capitalist businessmen. ++ China is going to be the world's dominant economic force in the future - if we are to survive economically, we should be aware of what is going on inside of it.
