New Directions for International Relations
On July 10-12, 2009 an international conference on "New Directions for International Relations" will take place at the Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy at IDC-Herzliya, Israel. It will be a follow-up to the conference on New Directions for IR that was organized at Yale University in 2004.
The conference will cover the following topics:
- Behavioral Approaches to IR
- Rational Choice and IR
- Quantitative and Formal Analysis of Conflict and Conflict Resolution
- Negotiations and Mediation in International Conflicts
- Methodological Innovations in IR
The program will also include a special panel on Conflict Resolution in the Middle East: Bridging the Gap between Academia and Practice.
Scholars and practicioners are invited to submit a 100 word proposals on any one of the above topics to Lesley Terris at lterris@idc. ac.il or Alex Mintz at mintz.alex@idc. ac.il.
The deadline for proposal submission is November 30, 2008.
