"America in Decline" is a Trend of the Hour

Across the globe, voices from the government and media are predicting the waning position of the US as the only remaining superpower. ++ This is a trend that will probably pass with the next US elections. ++ In matters of hard, soft, and what might call “smart” power, the US remains leaps ahead of the rest. ++ Militarily, the US still spends more than anyone else, boasts a $14 trillion economy, and integrates the leading academics and scientists from around the world. ++ Perhaps the next topic of disussion will be the ‘Chinese dream’.
